Loomis reinforces the company's commitment to innovation and technological development by creating a new AI center in Granada, Spain.
Loomis is creating a Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence together with the AI Granada R&I Foundation, in collaboration with the University of Granada. Loomis is also establishing itself as a long-term partner of the AI Granada R&I Foundation, supporting its research initiatives. The aim of the initiative is to develop future solutions for the financial sector and payment systems.

The research center will support research projects and offer practical training in collaboration with the University of Granada, under the academic direction of Enrique Herrera Viedma and Francisco Herrera Triguero, internationally recognized AI researchers. As part of the initiative, postgraduate students will take part in Loomis' internal development projects, working on specific tasks.
The University of Granada is Spain's leading institution in artificial intelligence and computer science research, focusing on applied AI, ethics and interdisciplinary research, in close collaboration with industry and international partners.
